The lightest parachute system on the market: only 450 g!
The basic parachute kit includes an ultra-fast CO2 cap ejection system and a dedicated autonomous remote control with 30 hours of autonomy (attachable to the Smart Controller).
The parachute is also available in a DGAC S2 S3-approved kit with an internal FTS (to be installed in the workshop) or external (to be placed between the batteries and the drone). Each version of FTS includes an audible alarm and support to power and charge the parachute when the drone is on.
The world's lightest parachute system with engine shutdown!
The parachute kit + internal FTS is the lightest solution available on the market, with a total weight of only 455 g. It maintains the main payload capacity for the DJI M300 in the S3 scenario: 1.25 kg of available payload! In the S2 scenario, the maximum possible weight increases to 2.25 kg.
Keep in mind that with an equivalent payload, the flight time with the Zéphyr parachute is longer than with any other parachute system.
The internal FTS is installed in the drone by us in our workshop. The operation is reversible, it does not modify the drone and ensures that DJI's factory warranty is maintained. The sound alarm module connects to the USB-C connector available under the drone.
The FTS can be used alone, without a parachute, to increase the available payload and flight time for scenario S2. The payload of the Matrice 300 in scenario S2 increases to 2.7 kg in this configuration!
Dronavia is proud to be the first manufacturer to provide MoC Light-UAS.2511.01 compliant systems, an essential compliance in the development of a Special Operations Risk Assessment (SORA). Dronavia provides a MOC 2511 compliance statement with every Zéphyr CC M300 FTS system sold. This document can be integrated into a SORA and is sufficient to meet Part 9 requirements.
Ultra-fast system installation
The parachute can be disassembled in less than a minute, attached to the 4 upper threads of the drone. An optional bracket is available in our store to attach it under the drone when using the upper pod.
The kit with the external FTS can also be disassembled in seconds. FTS modules are easily inserted between the batteries and the drone. They immediately contain the audible alarm. They weigh 160 g.
All kit elements can be stored in the original flight case provided by DJI with the drone.
The fastest, most reliable and efficient CO2 system
The Zéphyr parachute CO2 ejection system is proven and has been used by most French drone pilots for more than 5 years. Numerous successive tests and improvements have brought this system to a level of reliability never before achieved on a drone parachute.
Pressurized gas (60 bar!) is released in a fraction of a second to propel the parachute canopy out of its container. The excess gas released (each cartridge contains several dozen liters) is used to accelerate deployment of the hoods and minimize loss of altitude when the parachute is activated.
The system can be reset in seconds. The CO2 cartridge is the only consumable that must be replaced after deployment on the system, and a cartridge costs only a few dollars.
On the Zéphyr M300 single canopy parachute system, the CO2 ejection system allows the canopy to be ejected and opened in just 1.2 s, corresponding to a 15 m height loss from an initial drop speed of about 6 m/s.
The lightest, most stable and efficient drone parachute covers
The new PARA² fabrics used in Zéphyr parachute systems are the result of 3 years of development. Their innovative ultralight design and unique design give PARA² fabrics superior efficiency and stability. On single canopy systems, sink rate is minimized relative to the canopy surface. When used in pairs, PARA² fabrics do not interfere with each other and optimize the overall sink rate. Each Zephyr parachute is designed so that the canopy(s) keep the drone as flat as possible during its fall to minimize damage during impact.
On the Zéphyr M300 single canopy parachute system, the fall velocity for an 8 kg mass is only 3.2 m / s, i.e. an impact energy of only 41 J, much lower than the maximum allowed 69 J in France.
An encrypted long-range communication system
The long-range communication system between the radio and the parachute is based on advanced technologies and LoRa modulation. The range can reach several kilometers under optimal conditions, and a long-range option makes it possible to reach more than 10 km.
The communication protocol is based on 869 MHz frequencies, free of authorization (433 and 915 MHz options possible). 128-bit encryption ensures that data is not intercepted and the user is notified in case of communication failure.
Convenient functions for the user
The parachute, FTS and radio control modules are equipped with LEDs for status indication and advanced functions.
